The centerpiece of the monument was designed and donated by an important Florida artist and sculptor, Enzo Torcoletti, who was born in the Sault. The sculpture was fabricated in stainless steel and donated by China Steel, Inc. of the Sault. The stone base was donated by Terry Rainone; the drill by Albert Giommi of Service Rentals; and the plaques by Eternal Monuments.
